Long story short (or as short as possible), my name is Andrew Eldridge aka ANDY EL.  I am a poet, recording artist & song writer who performs spoken word & hip hop.  I started writing poetry around the age of 14, as an outlet to help deal with the passing of my father in 1999.

My early musical influences were Bob Dylan, Eminem, Tupac, Pink Floyd, the Eagles, Neil Diamond & U2.  All continue to be my favorites today, as well as other artists such as Rodriguez, Tech N9NE, Royce 5'9, Macklemore & Spose to name a few.   I started recording music around the age of 20, but started recording & performing seriously at age 25.  Since then I have had feature sets at venues in Battle Creek, Albion, Kalamazoo & Grand Rapids, performing at open mics, music festivals & radio shows.

BIO

In July of 2019 I released my first mixtape “Something Different”.  I wrote, recorded, mixed & designed this entire project!  Tyler Davis, one of my oldest & best friends, used his talents in photography & design to help launch our “Change the Culture” brand in 2017.  Together we have released several shirt & hoodie designs along with several sticker designs, all for sale at my shows & online artist pages.

I am focused on making a living from this art, while surrounding myself with a team of life long friends & family.  I am proud to be a Michigan man & want to focus on staying true to where I came from.  I want to make music that lasts a long time, full of real, deep content, & still have a good time in the process.

Just as the mixtape is titled, I am proud to be “Something Different”!  For show bookings or to confirm merchandise orders, please contact us @  changetheculture88@gmail.com.

Who the hell is Andy EL?
